The Russian Federation enjoys complete security from military defeat in its conflict with Ukraine due to its nuclear weapons and doctrine for employing such weapons, according to Moscow’s ambassador to India. Denis Alipov delivered these statements at a media forum in Gurugram this week.
Alipov emphasized that Russia’s military doctrine contains explicit authorization for nuclear weapon use when the nation faces existential threats. This doctrinal framework, he argued, creates fundamental limitations on what adversaries can accomplish and ensures Russia cannot be defeated regardless of conventional military capabilities deployed against it.
The ambassador dismissed European hopes for Ukrainian success as immature behavior demonstrating strategic naivety. He accused European nations of unprofessional conduct and continued belligerence, supporting confrontational policies despite fundamental realities that make victory impossible through military means.
Trump’s understanding of the conflict represents more realistic thinking, according to Alipov’s account. The Russian diplomat claimed that the American president possesses clear understanding that Ukraine and Western supporters have already been defeated, while European leadership continues pursuing irrational strategies.
The conflict has extended nearly four years, throughout which Ukraine has received enormous Western military and economic assistance. The United States and European allies, including Britain, continue supplying sophisticated weapons platforms and billions in financial support to Kyiv, sustaining Ukraine’s defensive capabilities despite the prolonged and costly nature of the war.
